Ryan’s Nursery Reveal

Here it is finally! Ryan’s room.  I loved putting this room together. I know he will only spend a couple of months in it before we move but I wanted him to come home to his own special room. It all started when I found some cute whale fabric from a local fabric shop. I knew this was the theme I wanted to go with.  I love this room mainly because everything was handmade.

I made the name sign from wooden letters, fabric, and canvas.  Look for a tutorial soon. The crib is B’s old one we bought from Costco a few years back.

I made a Pom Pom mobile to give the room a pop of color.

I also made a flag banner out of coordinating fabric and added hooks for a couple of muslin blankets.  I found this blue chevron rug from Rugs USA for 40% off.

I made the curtains and the diaper change cover out of Robert Kaufman’s Urban Zoologie Blue Whale fabric.  The walls are painted in Behr’s December Eve.  The chandelier was a leftover from when this room was my craft room.  Even though it was a “girly” touch I really like it in the room.
My sister made this cute little picture from Photo Shop. It is the Alphabet that highlights the letters “I Love U Ryan”

There it is! Ryan’s relaxing abode! This room makes me so happy and calm every time I enter it! I hope to duplicate this room when we move.
’till next time!

    • Hi Kim! I used E-6000. It is a super glue you can find at any store. I used it for my first son’s name sign and it’s been holding strong for 3 years now. I would make sure to lay flat to dry over night.
